Habits belong on the same page as the week
A habit tracker on a separate sheet gets filled in for eleven days and then forgotten, because it is not in front of you when you are planning. Putting the rows on the weekly sheet means you see the gaps while you are deciding what the next week looks like, which is the moment the information is actually useful.
Eight habit rows against seven day columns is the default. Published templates range from five to twelve, so it is a slider in the generator rather than a fixed number, and the labels are yours to write.
Keeping it honest
Rows are habits and columns are days, which is the layout nearly every tracker uses and the one people can read without instruction. The boxes are large enough to tick with a pen rather than needing a fine liner, which sounds trivial and is the reason most printed trackers go unused.
