Why this is undated
A timetable that carries dates is wrong within a week. This sheet has no dates at all, which is what makes it reusable for a whole term and worth pinning up rather than reprinting.
Five days by default, because classes rarely run at weekends and five columns are noticeably wider than seven. On landscape Letter that is about 47 mm per day against 34 mm, which is the difference between fitting a room number and not.
What to write in it
Subject, room and lecturer is usually enough. Resist the urge to add everything: a timetable earns its place by being readable at a glance from across a room, and once it needs studying it has stopped doing its job.
Set the hour range to your actual teaching day. The default is 8am to 8pm, which covers most university timetables, but a school day of 8:30 to 4 will give you far larger rows.
